New Recruits (Regardless of previous in-game experience)
Having completed the recruitment application and read the DSA Rules you are now free to join us in game, however, as a MWO recruit DSA requires you to have a minimum of 2 drops with a DSA Trainer/Mentor so they can brief you of our teamwork and communication basics.
Look for the following personal in teamspeak and request your two initiation drops:
Alzarns Fire (Captain Alt F4)
MWO Structure and Gaining Promotion/Advancement:
We run a basic rank structure in order to provide community organisation and leadership. For those wanting to assist in MWO duties, we want you to understand that DSA embraces a meritocracy ranking system and hierarchy.
The Ranks are:
Executive Command: These are our longest serving members who run the unit and perform administrative tasks outside of the game Company Commander: Takes leadership of group directing the team in-game. Responsible for tactics/strategy. Can tell people what mechs or builds to run when playing a serious match. Lance Leader: Takes leadership of his lance calling focus fire targets and lance movement on a micro level. Mechwarrior: Pilot, grunt, fresh meat for the grinder. Follows orders, no leadership responsibility.
Each of these ranks come with duties attached, the higher the rank, the more is expected of you in relation to in-game leadership and administrative duties.
We also have a set of portfolios which are practical things that need to in order to run a successful MWO based community. Some require certain ranks to apply for and undertake, others merely require your skill and motivation to perform the duties of the portfolios.
If any member is interested in advancing in rank or helping with the community please read the posts as linked and contact an officer who will be able to give guidance on how to work towards your goal. And remember to post your achievements once completed here List of MWO Acheivements

"The distinguishing characteristic of the lizard-brain is primarily the conservation of energy. Instead of pushing its stuff around all over the place, the lizard puts its stuff in one place and stays there. It only picks up and moves when it sees something useful and desirable, or when something distressing and undesirable shows up."
